Foxtail Community Garden started in 2020 as a senior project and came to life thanks to support from ASU’s Change Maker Grant and the helping hands of our amazing community. Together, we turned an empty lot into a thriving garden space that now includes two shared garden beds, sixteen personal plots, seasonal crop beds, and a welcoming area for learning and gathering.

Our garden is home to a growing mix of ASU students, local neighbors, garden lovers, and first-time growers—all connected by a shared love for community, sustainability, and growing good food in the city.

You’ll find us at the Tempe Church of Christ on Mill Avenue, where the garden is part of the church’s Ecotheology program. Ecotheology is all about building a respectful and reciprocal relationship with the earth and all living things. Through the garden, the church practices care for the land and deepens its ties with the local community.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious to get your hands in the soil, there’s a place for you at Foxtail. Come grow with us!
